EThey are suitable for any skin type EThey are suitable for most age groups experiencing mild to moderate skin ageing, to prevent or restore skin health EThey are specifically formulated for dull, dehydrated or finely lined skin. EExpect a subtle improvement in skin hydration and laxity, but the changes our patients notice most are how the skin feels to them when touching it, applying makeup etc.How does it differ to other injectables?Bioremodellers do not create facial structure/volume but can be combined with filler or biostimulators to achieve both deep and superficial rejuvenation. How does it work?Research conducted by the developers indicates that when injected into the skin, it encourages a dynamic, multilevel skin remodelling from the inside out, improving skin quality and promoting skin restoration. Our clinician team has found that results are most notable to the patient themselves, sensing improvements such as firmness, hydration and skin strength. These begin to occur during the first 4-6 weeks after treatment, and continue to improve over the subsequent months. What does a treatment consist of?PricingWhen performed as the recommended two-session treatment, each session costs $700 ($1,400 in total) for one area – such as the face, neck or decolletage. This includes 4mls of the injectable bioremodeller and the Profhilo Haenkenium Skin Cream, for optimal results. Treatment timeYour initial treatment takes 45 minutes and subsequent treatments will take 20 minutes. Your treated area may appear red and lumpy immediately following the treatment, so some patients prefer to have the treatment at the end of their work day, after hours or on the weekend!Amount of sessionsA single treatment consists of two injecting sessions. These two sessions are 1 month apart. When comparing the cost of this treatment at various clinics, please ask for the total cost of the two sessions that comprise a standard treatment for a single area. Before your sessionOnce facial assessment and consent forms/photos have been done, the session takes the same time to perform as a muscle relaxant treatment and involves 5 injection points on each side of the face (ie 10 injections in total).Complimentary 50ml Profhilo Antioxidant creamTo enhance and maintain your results, when you have your first bioremodelling treatment at The Sharp Clinics, you will receive a complimentary multi-action Profhilo Haenkenium antioxidant cream. Proven to improve skin elasticity and firmness while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the face, neck and decolletage, the cream contains high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid and Haenkenium® (salvia haenkei extract) for oxidative stress and cellular senescence. The synergistic effect of combining two molecular weights of hyaluronic acid improves firmness and elasticity while soothing sensitive skin. The salvia haenkei extract slows the degradation of hyaluronic acid caused by free radicals and acts as a screen for free radicals. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT BIOREMODELLERS AND HYBRID FILLERSWhat is its safety record and how long has it existed for?Hybrid fillers have been used by plastic surgeons in Europe and the UK for many years. They have only recently become available in Australia in the past year, despite having a long term record of safety and efficacy internationally. Literature has shown a high safety profile for this injectable, however it is widely known that aesthetic complications can be under reported. Despite the rheological differences, this product is still a hyaluronic acid gel with the potential to cause the same complications as any other HA gel on the market. Therefore, all patients must be provided with correct informed consent including (but not limited to) risk of blindness, stroke, tissue necrosis, injection trauma, infection, delayed inflammatory reactions and any other immune or infective reactions which are discussed in any soft tissue filler consultation. Is there any downtime after hybrid dermal filler treatments?Downtime is minimal. You may have some lumps and redness immediately after the procedure. Lumps can last longer in the neck. Can multiple areas be done at the same time?Yes. Multiple areas are often treated at the same time.Common areas are the face, neck, decolletage and hands. Can numbing cream be applied? The injections are quite superficial – not deep like some fillers so most patients find it very tolerable. Patients can opt to have Emla or no numbing cream applied. What should I do prior to treatment?Avoid taking aspirin, NSAIDS, anticoagulant drugs, Gingo Biloba, garlic, flax oil, cod liver oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E and any other essential fatty acids in the week before the treatment. This helps to reduce bruising. On the day of your treatment do not use make up, lotions, creams, serums, self-tanners or any other products on the areas to be treated.Do not use wax, bleach, use depilatory creams or have electrolysis for 4 weeks prior to treatment.Avoid chemicals peels, facials, laser and microdermabrasion for 2 weeks prior to treatment of the same area.Avoid unprotected natural and artificial sun exposure of the area for 2 weeks for best results. A broad spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher is recommended. Are maintenance treatments recommended?Yes, as the product is not permanent, to maintain your results we recommend booking a maintenance treatment every 6 months. Re-treating within this time frame has a cumulative anti-ageing effect, effectively providing ongoing support for your skin to fight the signs of skin ageing.
