As a woman who has experienced the impact of pregnancy and breastfeeding four times, I know all too well the honour of giving our bodies over to nurture another human being - and when the time is right, the importance of nurturing and restoring ourselves! Whether its a breast augmentation to counteract lost volume or abdominoplasty to repair a weak abdominal wall, our desire for post pregnancy surgery extends far beyond physical improvement. Most of us have spent a long time prioritising everyone else; it’s often the first time that we’ve done anything just for ourselves as a mum. It’s about having choices and options. And now my children are young women, I can see it’s also about role modelling self-love and healthy self-care. When we’re feeling our best, we can give our best!- Liz Washington, Practice Director
