Vaccinations, surgery and non surgical cosmetic treatments

If you have surgery or treatments coming up – and also have a vaccination scheduled – please see below for our guidelines:

Surgery and vaccinations

Surgery is not a contraindication to routine vaccinations. If possible, separate your surgery and vaccination by 1 week; this just helps doctors attribute any fever or systemic symptoms to either the surgery or the vaccination. Click here for the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons’ recommendations.

Wrinkle injections and vaccinations

Muscle relaxing wrinkle injections and skin therapies do not require separation from vaccination.

Dermal fillers and vaccinations

We recommend separating the treatment and vaccinations by two weeks.

If any of the above applies to you, please call our friendly patient support team on 3202 4744
